Resource Genesee has a small but dedicated staff working passionately to make Genesee County a better place!

Dale K. Weighill: President & CEO of Resource Genesee.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Michigan – Dearborn and a Master’s degree in political science from American University in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Resource Genesee in 2000, Dale served as a legislative assistant to State Rep. Laura M. Toy (R-Livonia). He has engaged his passion for teaching American government at Mott Community College and Oakland Community College. Dale is a former two-term member of the Clarenceville Board of Education in Livonia; he is past chair of the Genesee County Nonprofit Association and the Volunteer Center National Network Council and served on the board of the Michigan Nonprofit Association in Lansing and the Points of Light Institute in Washington, DC. Dale ran unsuccessfully for Mayor of Flint in 2007 and is currently running for a seat on the Flint City Council.

Lindsey Younger: Director of Information Services at Resource Genesee.

She leads and directs the work of Resource Genesee’s Information Services program which includes: the Information and Referral hotline, a critical service linking people to a variety of assistance and programs offered by non-profit agencies in Genesee County and staffed by trained Call Specialists; continual updating and publishing of The Community SourceBook, Youth 4-1-1, and a variety of customized directories of social and human services in Genesee County . She is the lead staff member in the effort to bring 2-1-1 to Genesee County, a 24-hour help hotline slated to launch in 2010. Lindsey is also a driving force behind the Holiday Wish List, an annual effort spearheaded by Resource Genesee to provide Christmas gifts to needy families through our non-profit agency partners. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from the University of Michigan-Flint and a Master of Arts in Language and International Trade from Eastern Michigan University. She is a past president of the Rotary Club of Flint and serves on: the City of Flint Human Relations Commission; the Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Dinner Planning Committee; Gerholz Christian Counseling Advisory Board; the Genesee County Youth Corporation Board of Directors; the Community Resolution Center Board of Directors; and as a facilitator for Flint’s Leadership in Interethnic Relations program.

Julia Zaher:Director of Volunteer Services at Resource Genesee.

She joined the organization in 2009 bringing her personal passion for volunteering at a local soup kitchen and past volunteerism at an inner city tutoring center, summer camps and fundraising for various charities. Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Regent University. She has been a national radio and television news reporter, including three years on Capitol Hill. Julia is also a former newspaper reporter and local columnist. At Resource Genesee she matches volunteers and their talents with organizations needing help. Julia organizes our annual Volunteer Expo, assists with the Holiday Wish List and uses her writing and communication skills to promote Resource Genesee.

Marvin Diem: Assistant to the Director of Volunteer Services.

He brings with him a large amount of experience in customer service and a desire to help others. Marvin has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Michigan-Flint. He is pursuing a master's in social work from Eastern Michigan University.

Tinamarie Hubbard: Database Manager.

She brings her fastidious attention to detail to Resource Genesee’s Information Services program. Tinamarie manages the data which is the foundation of our services. She oversees the constant updating of listings in The Community SourceBook, helps manage the call specialists who call our help hotline, assists with the Holiday Wish List and in a million ways is indispensable to Resource Genesee. She joined Resource Genesee in 2002. Tinamarie holds a bachelor's degree in clinical/community psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Marie Munn: Financial Coordinator and Tax Site Coordinator at Resource Genesee. 

A graduate of Baker College with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Marie brings her aptitude for numbers and her love of helping others to our free tax preparation services designed to help Genesee Country Residents capture the earned income tax credit, bringing more money back into the local economy.  She coordinates Resource Genesee's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance or VITA site, recruiting volunteer tax preparers and preparing taxes for low to moderate income earners. Marie also handles our bookkeeping and payroll, assists with database management and a variety of mailings.

Tom Knight: Homeless Outreach Coordinator for Resource Genesee. 

Tom is out on the streets, at area soup kitchens and at our One Stop House Resource Center helping homeless people find permanent housing.

Frank Woods, Jr.  is Director of One Stop Housing Resource Center at Resource Genesee. 

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in theology from Bethany College and Seminary. Frank coordinates and directs the work of the One Stop Housing Resource Center, which is a community collaborative of over 12 different services providers who provide services to homeless citizens in Genesee County.
